Welch West Virginia is a wonderful place and it is bigger than you think. We did not have time to get all of this town but we will get more later. It is a great place to go for a drive. There are some very old shops and restaurants. The biggest surprise about Welch was it's ability to hang on to the old and make way for the new. We saw this in the newer construction under way and the exiting older buildings. Welch lies along the historic Coalfield Route 52 in Southern West Virginia.
