Yosemite was first protected as a State park by President Abraham Lincoln before transitioning to a National park in 1872. Niagara Falls is the oldest State park in the United States, and will mark its 125-year commemoration in 2010. State parks nationwide attract 730 million visits annually and draw environmentally-conscience, active consumers who live in close proximity of State parks.
