Richmond is the capital of the Commonwealth of Virginia, in the United States. Like all Virginia municipalities incorporated as cities, it is an independent city and not part of any county.

Virginia is a big city, and of course there always new things happen everyday. And that we call news. News is already part of our everyday life, and people always watch and listen to the news. News is the way that people will able to know what was happening in our surroundings. Without news, we will never know what was happening in the world. This are some of the examples of news in the city of Virginia.

Major payday lender is leaving Virginia- A big payday lender is quitting Virginia because of the tough economy and new restrictions on high-cost instant loans, but others are finding new -- and potentially controversial -- ways to keep open their money stores. Four more citations issued over Chester building collapse- The state has issued two citations against the Chesterfield County building inspector's office and one citation each against a construction company and an engineering firm for violating occupational safety laws in last year's fatal collapse of a building under construction in Chester. Aside from news, Virginia also has lots of things to do.

They have Byrd theater, its been built by early 20^th century. Its been made by Italian marble and elegantly painted murals fill the interior. The audience can sing along; the words are displayed on the screen. The staff dresses in 1920s clothing.

The other one is Shockoe Slip. It is the oldest mercantile district and was once the site of the State Capitol building. This area has been a bustling hub since the 17th century.

The next one is the Museum of the confederacy. This neoclassical mansion was built in 1818. President Jefferson Davis lived here during the Civil War years, and several pieces of furniture owned by him are on display.

The Virginia Site Capitol is designed by Thomas Jefferson, this Classic Revival building was modeled after a Roman temple. It was completed in 1788 and is the second oldest capitol in continuous use in the country.

And of course they have there restaurants were people always go when they feel they are hungry.

Galaxy Diner is a futuristic, fun and upbeat environment, Galaxy is located in Carytown, a great area for people watching. It also features an exceptional selection of liquor and beer. Galaxy also has one of the best martini bars in town.

Jamica House Restaurant - The Fan is a very small and cozy place that boasts of serving authentic Jamaican food. The menu includes delicious traditional dishes like curry goat, jerk chicken, oxtail stew and fried dumplings! Alternately, one can opt to take-out some freshly baked.

This all things are just example that Richmond, Virginia have.
