Spanish Four Mast Schooner – Juan Sebastian de Elcano – Norfolk, Virginia

The Juan Sebastian de Elcano was docked at Norfolk VA in 2007. She was on a friendship tour from Spain. We explored the ship and were greeted kindly even though there was a language barrier. When leaving the ship I politely asked for a solute but the sailors did not understand English. I saluted first and then they all saluted back. Related video: www.youtube.com
