Posted by Susan in Virginia Wildlife on Jun 5th, 2010 | 0 commentsRobin nestling in Annandale, Virginia, May 2010 Out of 4 beautiful blue eggs, three chicks hatched and were fed constantly by their parents. Two smaller baby robins disappeared on the 8th day. And the last one, who flapped its wings in this video, fledged the nest on the 10th day, landing on the grass 15 feet away. The chick was last seen hurrying to hide in the tall grass to the urgent tones of its parents.
