Learn to Kayak

Kayaking is great exercise, fun, and challenging.  A sport or hobby that provides a rewarding path to mastery can keep you both physically and mentally engaged in the activity.  Learning to kayak is one of those adventurous pursuits that causes you to wish you were in the great outdoors while working, or even hanging out on the couch.

Chesterfield county offers a great beginner class to get you started.  The video above shows clips from the 2-day class.  Day 1 is flatwater at Dutch Gap, Day 2 is a James River whitewater run from The Pony Pastures to James River Park before Belle Island.
