The waves in Virginia Beach vary, pretty much like they do everywhere. I’d say that the surf here in Va. Beach is just about as good as you are going to get on the east coast, with the exception of Cape Hatteras. The surf at Hatteras is usually better than Va. Beach, BUT Hatteras is very isolated, hard to get to and a lot farther than Va. Beach if you are coming from just about anywhere North or West of us. Va. Beach can be a great place to surf!
